Judge Dismisses Clinton-Backers' Challenge; Vegas Casino Workers Free to Caucus

Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama - Judge Dismisses Nevada Caucus Challenge

Sen. Hillary Clinton and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, have spent the past couple days traipsing around the Golden State uncomfortably responding to allegations that their campaign is connected to a lawsuit brought last week by the Nevada teacher's union that would prevent casino workers from caucusing on the job.

Many casino workers and hotel employees are members of the powerful Culinary Workers Union Local 226, which endorsed Barack Obama. The Nevada Democratic Party designated nine casinos on the Vegas Strip as at-large precincts so that hotel workers would be able to participate in Saturday's caucus from the workplace.

Today, a federal judge in Las Vegas dismissed the teacher's union's challenge. But this contentious Vegas drama may not be so quickly forgotten thanks to the the fiery gem Slick Willie unleashed on an Oakland TV news reporter, which -- hello it's 2008 -- will forever be remembered, in context, thanks to YouTube (full clip available here):

This was exceedingly slimy on Clinton's part. It was no secret that the casino workers would be able to caucus from their workplace. Yet it wasn't until the endorsement of Obama that the suit was filed. Really, really crappy. Obviously the judge made the correct decision, especially considering that we're talking about the primaries here, and the party has pretty much total control over how they are run.

Oh, and has anybody asked the teachers union if we should stop having polling places located in schools?

GO HILLARY!!!

This campaign is slowly eradicating any warm and fuzzy feelings I have for Bill Clinton.

First took a stab at George Bush style revisionism when he falsely claimed he was against the Iraq war all along... then came the "fairy tale" comments... and now they are attempting to disenfranchise voters via slimy surrogate politics.

And it's all sour grapes, because they wouldn't have said shit had the culinary workers union endorsed Hillary.

The Clintons remind me of the Bush administration more with each passing day.
