the prices at this place -- for the food and the joe -- are ridiculous. please, $5.50 for a latte? i'm so sure! the food is tasty, but don't go hungry to brunch.

Lindsay, thanks for picking up on my wee lil funny :-) Sloane, I'm embarrassed to say that I left without an answer on the WiFi front. It was tricky to truly judge the space as it was day one of a soft open, complete with too many roaming servers and slightly nervous managers. I too like freaks with my coffee and WiFi is a must. And I hate way-too-fancy silverware, especially when all you need is *maybe* a spoon to stir the coffee. But, I forgot to mention the best quote from my otherwise very knowledgeable and friendly server: Server: "Do you need cream and sugar or anything? Me: "No, I think I'll see how it tastes just black at first. Server: "Yeah, we don't recommend adding anything because our coffee is soooo good." Me: "Oh." ---- Last time I was in SF Phil (of Philz Coffee) said he was scoping out a place near Sunset/Fountain. Now THAT I think I could get into.

Andy, my favorite thing about your review is that in the same sentence that you mention Silver Lake couples and their offspring you let us know LAMill has dog biscuits available. I'm not sure if I'm more amused by people feeding their kids dog cookies or treating their dogs like kids. Elise, you crack me up. Carrie, uhmmmm, if you need any help taste testing, give me a call. I'm really interested in trying the stuff out, but doubt I would be a regular. I actually already have a few pounds of LA Mill coffee (thanks to the rich/trendy students and parents of the Harvard-Westlake School for their charity to math teachers), and I'm planning on doing a big blind taste test this weekend, comparing it to Intelligentsia AND Dunkin Donuts. It's going to be insanely, insanely fun.

Now coffee baristas are going to be in McDonald's (can't wait for that review!). Are there table limits if you want to go and do work? Wifi? I like weirdos in my coffee shops, is that so wrong? All of these hipster haven corrals are at least showing off places I know I won't be frequenting.

haha when I saw the chandelier I asked them who designed the place. Apparently its a little design firm called "rubbish", but I couldn't find them online. The wall paper hits though.
