The official page does say "Farmers Market" without the apostrophe. Some other sites say "Farmer's Market". I guess if there was more than one farmer in the beginning, it should be Farmers' Market.

Estarla: Hopefully you just had a bad night with a cook who was fired the next day. Their pies have always been hot and the chicken moist when I have tried it. This specific visit was last Friday night around 7pm.

I'm sorry but I have to respectfully disagree!! I used to be a regular of their chicken pot pies before their remodel by buying them in their "to go" tins at the Farmer's Market counter (in back of their restaurant). When they closed down for their remodel, I was sorely missing their pot pie for almost 2 years!! When I finally went back to have some after they reopened I was sorely disappointed. Since they're a 24hr joint, I went at 10pm on a Monday so maybe it's not a fair comparison - maybe it IS better during regular hours - but the gravy was not even warm (almost cold) and practically solidified. The rest of the filling was cold peas, carrots, celery, and dry chicken. Ugh.

I cried the whole way home. :(

Oh, man. I'm leaving the house in about twenty minutes to meet some friends for lunch at Farmers Market (for some goofy reason they prefer it without the apostrophe). The plan was to decide where to eat after we got there, but I'm quite sure my mind has just been made up.

However, knowing Raul's impeccable taste in nearly all things, I'll be adding Wood Spoon to my 2008 to-do list.

For the best chicken pot pie, check out Wood Spoon on 9th Street in downtown. The best I've ever had.
