There were two headlines from the news today that were similar in context and timing:

Man Shoots Daughter, Her Mother, Kills Self

and

Man kills former mother-in-law, ex-wife in Tujunga, jumps to his death in Pasadena

The first headline from CBS2 speaks to an incident that took place this morning at 7:20 a.m. in Rowland Heights. The mother was listed in critical condition, the daughter as stable.

The latter headline, from the Daily News, took place in the northeast valley neighborhood of LA, Tujunga, around 8:40 a.m. this morning. An argument between the man and his ex-wife, intervened by the mother-in-law led to the stabbing death of both women. Later, the man was found at the famous Pasadena bridge at Colorado Boulevard over the Arroyo Seco. A Pasadena Police Officer tried to talk the man out of letting go, but to no avail.

Yesterday, there were four deaths in the Los Angeles area, two of which were murders, that were all related to automobiles in some way or another.
