Hilarious Elise.

I went to a community college and moved to a UC where I now earn considerably less than $47k in a full-time job. I guess I should have forgone UCLA and stayed at Valley College!

Community college students who earned a vocational degree or certificate see their wages jump from $25,600 to $47,571 three years after earning their degree. (Yes on Proposition 92)

$47,571? People I know with BAs and 15 years experience under their belt are lucky to see 40k a year.

According to the National Education Association, the average pay for a California public teacher is $57,876. That's with an MA, teaching credentials, and years of state service.

I'm going back to El Camino for that welding degree.
