Clifton's Cafeteria Will Not Accept This Cash

Bank of America Robbery

Bank of America Robbery

Photographer Colin R. Brown, who is known for his eerie pictures of the Griffith Park Fire, was heading to lunch downtown when he came upon the aftermath of a bank robbery. He e-mails us so share what he saw yesterday.

J-Bird and I went for lunch at Clifton's Cafeteria and Bank of America was robbed.

I thought the red was blood but of course it's from an ink packet. When the ink pack exploded the stack of 20s were abandoned on the sidewalk.

Whats with all the old 20s in there? Looks like the dye packed stacks have been sitting around for a while.

Memo to all would-be bank robbers: Search your stash for the bundle with the old 20s in it. Leave that one behind.

Kinda cool. I've never seen a dye pack before. Then again I never robbed a bank either.
