LAst Night's Action: Who Wears Short Shorts?
Celtics 110, Lakers 91 - Los Angeles ran into the buzzsaw that is Boston. Apparently, the first thing to get cut were their shorts. "I felt violated, I felt naked," remarked Kobe Bryant. There are so many places we could go with that. Actually, he was referring to the throwback short-sorts the team wore as a tribute to the rivalry and Jerry West, who was the honorary captain for the game. Maybe that's why Kobe was an abysmal 6-of-25.
Canucks 2, Ducks 1 - Vancouver led this one pretty much the whole way. Anaheim continues to be the most penalized team in the NHL.
Kings 3, Blackhawks 2, OT - Dustin Brown scored his first career goal in the third period to help Los Angeles draw within one. Kyle Calder smacked the equalizer, and Brown found the net a second time on OT.
Elsewhere - NHL plans on driving away more fans by playing outside in Buffalo in the winter, but surprisingly sold a lot of tickets ... Drunks on ice? Not a good idea ... Cotton Bowl wants BCS to expand ... China to regulated Olympic cheers. Pick one of 20.
Today's Action - Minnesota @ Clippers (6:30pm).
