New Rapid Bus Lines Let You Experience LA

Metro RapidLast week Monday, Metro released a series of service enhancements and additions including the new Gold Line schedule. In the additions bucket came two new Metro Rapid lines, both starting in Downtown.

The 728 runs between Downtown and Century City, mostly along Olympic Blvd. A ride review by Wad at MetroRiderLA finds that the busy thoroughfare "has a cross-cultural crosstown aspect" as it runs through Central American community of Pico-Union, Koreatown, Little Ethiopia, South Carthay and finally Century City. The line only runs Monday through Friday.

The second new Rapid Line is the 770, another route of "international flair" according to Wad:

Heading out of El Monte, 770 runs through the bustling Chinese communities of the western San Gabriel Valley. Monterey Park is the most prominent, but the ethnic businesses carry over through Rosemead and El Monte. Line 770 also provides a fast one-seat connection between the San Gabriel Valley and the Eastside.
