A new film series launches tonight at Santa Monica's Aero Theater, spotlighting screwball comedies, with a double feature of 1939's Midnight, starring Claudette Colbert and 1937's Easy Living with Jean Arthur. Both films were directed by Mitchell Leisen.

DRINK, MUSIC & MAGICAL MYSTERIOSITIES
Madame Pamita's Salon of the Supernatural is on tonight at Club Fluffer at Silver Lake's Hyperion Tavern. There you can encounter colorful characters like the Mysterious Mistress of Ceremonies Mlle. Tequila Mockingbird, Barmaid Miss Angel, Wizard of the Washboard Mr. Raymond Herron, and Madame Pamita--the World's Foremost Specialist in Auditory Cartomancy, who asks: "You are bound to enjoy her captivating music hall ditties but are you bold enough to step forward and have your fortune revealed?"
