Arraignment Postponed in CHP Officer Cocaine Theft Case

CHP Officer Joshua Blackburn stands accused of stealing a million dollars worth of cocaine from an evidence locker in Orange County, CaliforniaCalifornia Highway Patrol Officer Joshua Blackburn, charged with stealing $1 million worth of cocaine being held as evidence, has had his arraignment postponed at his lawyer's request until early next month, KTLA is reporting.

The 32-year-old Murietta man (pictured) has been with the CHP for six years, and remains in the Orange County Jail on $4 million bail. His arraignment had been scheduled for yesterday, but the alleged drug nabber's attorney has stated that he has not received all the police paperwork necessary to begin the case. Blackburn's motive for swiping the seized cocaine is unclear, although leaves plenty of room for remarks about him wanting to make it a "White Christmas." According to the OC Register:

Blackburn is accused of breaking into the evidence locker room at about 4 a.m. Dec. 21, taking the cocaine and hiding it, according to a news release from the Orange County District Attorney's office.
Blackburn's arraignment date has been rescheduled for January 9th in Orange County Superior Court.

He's totally innocent. You can tell - I mean, how many police officers in southern CA can possibly be corrupt?

Next thing you're going to say is there were some inappropriate/favoritism behavior during the arrest/jail time of Mel Gibson, Paris Hilton, Michelle Rodriguez, R. Kelly, Lindsey Loh...oh wait minute...

I forgot I was specifically talking about CA and threw in R. Kelly
