Joe Strummer Tribute To Rock The Key Club

Strummer Tribute Wall from NYC
This Saturday Dec. 22nd @ the Key Club there's going to be a Joe Strummer Tribute thing-thang honoring the late rock legend, by not only performing many of the songs he wrote but also putting all the money raised towards Strummerville (the charity set up in his name)

The press release states the following:

Joining Zander Schloss & The Wilderness Years, Three Bad Jacks, David J (Bauhaus), Hellride (featuring Mike Watt, Steven Perkins & Peter Distefano). Each of the night’s participants will perform sets ranging in duration from five to thirty minutes. Chris Salewicz, the author of the definitive Joe Strummer biography, Redemption Song, will host the night’s festivities and artist cum DJ Shepard Fairey will be spinning in-between bands.

David J?! If you look at that line up, you ought to be noticing that there will be some really big names who are worth seeing, and who don't perform often. Plus the Key Club always hooks it up tight with their unique layout for a guaranteed chill night. So now you got your Sat'night planned, cross that one off the list.

Doors are at 8 PM and tickets are $25 and available from the Key Club box office (310-274-5800) and www.ticketmaster.com
