Supplier in NoHo OD Case Wanted; Called 911 While Fleeing

Arcesio Escobar is wanted by the FBI in connection to the fatal heroin, morphine, and other drug-affiliated overdose death of 15 year old Jennifer Elias from New York. Elias died June 27 in North HollywoodThis morning the Daily News is reporting that the FBI is looking for "Arcesio Escobar, a 49-year-old laundry cleaner worker" who is the alleged supplier of the drugs that caused a 15 year old girl's lethal overdose this summer. Jennifer Elias, from New York, was found dead in a converted garage in North Hollywood "with only a jacket on, about 2 p.m. on June 27."

Although her official cause of death remains uncertain, it is known that Elias took in a combination of heroin and morphine, along with other drugs, but Los Angeles County Coroner Capt. Ed Winter has stated it is also not known what method of use she employed.

Escobar, a known associate "of at least three men, who ran a racket in which they would arrange meetings with drug dealers and then would steal the drugs and cash" was initially accused of supplying drugs, including marijuana, to a minor, but the warrant was issued after it was determined he fled the country. It seems Escobar left Elias, then called 911 to report her overdose about 36 minutes after she had tied, then was traced to Tijuana, Mexico two days later.

The search for Escobar (pictured) and Elias' death are recent police revelations, as the FBI hunt for the supplier who fled is being launched. Elias was just a couple of weeks away from her sixteenth birthday when she died.

After the jump, a YouTube video assembled by friends and posted this summer honoring Jennifer Elias.

omg, this happened next door to our home that was the week all the commotion was going on next door...the day the police was there i asked them what was going on & if we should be concerned, but they did not divulge any info, and it was not until weeks later that we found out that a young girl was murdered there, and we could not ask the neighbors since they seem sketchy themselves. i hope that they find the people responsible for the crime and i am glad the police is still investigating.
