David Milch speaks today at the WGA Theater

Ian McShane

I think reasonable people would agree that Deadwood was one of the best shows on television over the last few years. It never got the pub that The Sopranos did, but I know which show I was more excited to see (Tony Soprano's lucky he never had to face Al Swearengen). And while John from Cincinnati was confusing as hell sometimes (okay, most of the time), I still tuned in for every episode. Anyway, the man behind those two shows (as well as golden age NYPD Blue), David Milch, is speaking today for free at the WGA Theater.

"The Idea of the Writer"
Tuesday 12/18; 2:15-4:00pm
WGA Theater
35 S. Doheny Drive, Beverly Hills, CA 90211
Entry is free; first come, first serve
