I vote for Friday Night Lights, Entourage, The Tudors, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip and The Closer - in addition to the already-mentioned Arrested Development, House, Weeds, 30 Rock, and Flight of the Conchords.

I found Boomtown to be pretty uneven -- silly at times. But the pilot was awesome.

people who don't have pay cable should definitely catch up on the likes of Weeds, The Wire, Flight of the Conchords, Six Feet Under...the first season of The L Word is pretty awesome, although not for everyone, heh. OH and if you haven't bought/rented the first season of 30 Rock...well there's just no excuse for that. Definitely agree with Veronica Mars, Angel and (most of) Gilmore Girls. I've been meaning to get into Firefly for years now, guess there's no better time.

I just got season three of Veronica Mars! I can't wait to watch it! I really miss that show! I still can't believe it was cancelled!

You forgot the short lived cop-drama "Boomtown." It captured LA better than any other show out there (look no further than the opening 30 seconds of the first episode). In terms of classics, I would go with "Mad Wednesday," "Easy Living" and "Sullivan's Travels."

THE WIRE is the greatest show ever put on television and I thank my lucky stars that David Simon and posse wrapped the 5th and final season before the strike.

I've been catching up with House. I didn't start watching the until this season. Fox has already exhausted the new episodes, but they are making it easy for me to catch up with reruns every Monday and Tuesday night. On top of that, USA Network airs reruns several nights a week as well.

speaking of great great shows that only got one season, watch the comeback. lisa kudrow owns all television for this.
