MTV's The Hills Season Finale pre-show, live after party took place tonight at AREA Nightclub in West Hollywood, which seemed to be the perfect spot for a soiree such as this. Walking the Red Carpet (or shall I say Blue Carpet) were Lauren, Brody, Audrina, LOD, Frankie, Katie and Heidi. And apparently the personal trainer.
Surprise, suprise, Heidi Montag showed up on the carpet briefly, alone and without a wedding ring. it seems that she and Spencer Pratt have called off the wedding. There was also another big surprise in store for the throngs of fans waiting outside to see their favorite Hills cast member.
There were bleachers outside for the mass of fans and guests to watch as the cast made their way down the carpet. The Hills has been rated the number one show on cable for the 12 - 34 year old crowd and you could see how true those ratings were with the amount of people lined up and waiting to get inside the club. Inside Area, the crowd felt just as enormous.
Jessi and Dan were live from Area in West Hollywood, wrapping up the final show of the season. Or so everyone thought.
The big whammy that MTV's highest rated show had for the audience was that Lauren was going to Paris. There are going to be 8 bonus episodes of Season 3 as MTV takes The Hills to Paris as Lauren refuses to stay in Los Angeles for a guy and accomplishes a "lifelong dream". The bonus episodes will begin with Lauren and Whitney’s adventures in Paris, where they travel to work for Teen Vogue at the Crillon Ball, an international gala for debutantes.
MTV orchestrated video blogs and video calls from excited Hills fans, allowing them to ask the cast questions. The question on everyone's lips seemed to be what would happen with Lauren and Brody. Guess you'll have to tune in to the new episodes to find out.
