Photo Essay: Picketing Trekkies

Star Trek WGA Shirt

After missing the horror writers picket last week, I made sure to head over to the Paramount lot this afternoon to snap some shots of this week's awesome (ly nerdy) strike gimmick -- STAR TREK DAY!

Sadly, I saw nary a Klingon, but I did manage to spot a few pairs of Spock ears, a phaser or two, and of course, one Mr. George Takei (oh my). Beam me up, solidarity!

Lots of pictures after the jump.

holy crap - Data looks old! I didn't know robots aged.

'Holy crap'? Instead of commenting maybe on 'Data's' support for the guys, all you see is he's 'old'? Apart from the fact that this is Mr Spiner, who 'merely' played him, (& brilliantly too) he neither looks 'old' as he is now but matured, nor Data was ever a 'robot', but android to be precise, big difference, & he actually had an aging program, in case you never noticed... merry Xmas to you all -

They all look handsome to me. When ya got it, ya got it forever! I am glad to see so many folks supporting the writers. I only wish I could be there to pass out sandwiches, cookies, and coffee.

great photos, great article!

also: i'm actually wearing my "trek strike" t-shirt right now, as it was the only one i had that was clean.
