A Very British Sixties Christmas!

The Mods and Rockers invite all Beatles fans, Anglophiles and latent mods and rockers to attend A Holiday Rave-up: A Very British Sixties Christmas! tomorrow night.

This celebration of sixties music will feature The Ravers, the premier sixties cover band. Special guests performing with The Ravers will be Stephen Bishop (On And On, It Might Be You) and Spencer Davis (Gimme Some Loving, I'm A Man). I saw Spencer Davis perform with The Ravers at a Mods and Rockers event last summer and I guarantee they will rock your socks off. The evening will include special memorial tributes to John Lennon and George Harrison, and live versions of songs by The Kinks, The Yardbirds, The Hollies, The Zombies, Cream, Them, and Traffic to name a few. When is the last time you heard a band cover Traffic? I've got five bucks on Dear Mr. Fantasy.

The pub grub at the Pig n' Whistle is pretty dang good; I highly recommend their hamburgers. The atmosphere is cozy, in spite of the high ceilings. The long bar will be serving two-for-one Bass & Boddingtons beers between 8pm-9pm.

Admission is only $3. With your extra cash, The Mods and Rockers suggest you support the "Toys For Tots" program by bringing a new, unwrapped toy that will be donated to a kid in need.
