My point is that it wasn't a "release," a word that implies it was for sale. Also, if you're going to buy the single on iTunes, you'll be downloading "Ladies of Cambridge." Istanbul was Constantinople ...

My point is it was never a "release," a word that implies it was for sale. Also, when you go to iTunes to buy that B-side, you need to search for "Ladies of Cambridge" because that's what they're calling it.

these guys are really great - one of the most promising releases from a new band for next year i think. i was a bit underwhelmed during a few songs (potentially it was solely out of comparison to the songs they really shone on such as Oxford Comma, Mansard Roof & I Stand Corrected...) but i absolutely can't wait to see what a few more months on the touring circuit will do for their live show.

also, true story joshua. Grand Ole Party were incredible even despite Kristin losing her voice.

Hi All, thought I would help clear things up!

It's kind of hazy how Blue CD-R was released. I've heard some stories of people emailing the band to get it, some were press mailings, and others found it when it was floating around the internet. Now it's pretty hard to get because of the upcoming XL Recordings release.

Also, the encore song was originally called "Boston" on Blue CD-R but was changed to "Ladies of Cambridge" for the single release. Ezra introduced it as "Boston" so I thought I'd follow his lead and keep the original title!

Glad you guys are liking the music, I can't stop listening to it either :)

They don't have one yet. For now you gotta search and download and scrape it all together. This review erroneously refers to a Blue-CDR "release." I think that was a press mailing. Also, that encore song is called "Ladies of Cambridge," not "Boston."

I've been listening to their myspace obsessively! Perhaps I should buy a cd.

No GOP or Princeton love? The only thing that really irked me amidst last night's prep-fest was: Since when did The Echo incorporate disc jockey introductions? I felt like I was in a different world. I guess KCRW will do that to ya.
