<description>&lt;p&gt;No way are there less than 6000 software jobs in LA. I call BS. 

My company alone is just under 1000 people (a video game company - that&apos;s software), and there are tons of video game industry companies in LA.

Not to mention non-entertainment software jobs.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

<description>&lt;p&gt;I think the porn industry is vastly understating the economic threat of the Internet.  Not surprising since they&apos;ve always inflated their non-audited sales figures.  The industry is in far worse shape than the music business because of sites like youporn.com.  Claire Hoffman wrote a great story about it in portfolio.

<description>&lt;p&gt;The biggest mistake Sony made was saying no to Blu-Ray porn. But that begs the question of the availability of affordable Blu-Ray players, the cheapest one being the PS3, which is a loser in itself. &lt;/p&gt;</description>
