LAst Night's Action: Aboya, Bruins Looking Good
Bruins 83, Colonials 60 - UCLA (ranked #1 by ESPN/USA Today and #2 by the AP) hammered George Washington at home and got a lot of players involved. Darren Collison returned from a pre-season knee injury to score 14 and Alfred Aboya had six points despite a broken bone under his eye. Three other players scored in double digits, including highly touted freshman Kevin Love who had 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Kings 3, Sharks 2 (SO) - Southland teams have done well against San Jose in shoot outs. It's the third time it's happened this season (the other two were by the Ducks). It's also the third time Los Angeles has won in San Jose in less than a month. Unfortunately, that seems to be the only place the Kings can get a win. They're resting comfortably at the bottom of the Western Conference.
Only in LA - Phil Jackson on Kwame Brown: "I kind of ignore him like he's a leper" ... USC football threatens to move from the Coliseum to the Rose Bowl, SportsHub has alternative use suggestions ... USC-UCLA rivalry week is heating up. Read up with a surprisingly detailed Wikipedia post ... O.J. says he didn't do it. Not that crime. The other one.
Elsewhere - Even Aqua Teen Hunger Force hates the BCS ... The man who invented Gatorade has died ... Ricky Williams' brief NFL comeback is over for this season.
Today's Action - Denver @ Lakers (7:30pm) ... Ducks @ Calgary (6:00pm) ... Oklahoma @ USC Hoops (8:00pm).
