Farm Boy Palms (probably also known as Farm Boy Culver City) is finally open. With a pretty substantial workload, I haven't had time to go there a lot, but I did manage to take some pictures. They have loads of fruits and vegetables, all described on their handwritten cards as "sweet and fresh." The sushi looks about on par with Ralphs, and they have fruit flavored yogurts with all the Pinkberry trimmings.

I actually just stopped by there today as I live right down the street from the store. I was not fond of the handwritten signs (all of them say fresh!) because I could not always read the handwriting. The fruit and vegetables already seem a day or two older than they should have been and while the fixins' for the frozen yogurt were great, the quality of the yogurt was very low (vanilla and strawberry are the only flavors worth considering). This may seem a harsh review, but I am fairly peeved at the moment because I bought some of their sushi, "made fresh every hour" and took it home for lunch. I knew from the first bite the sushi was over a day old. The rice, old and dried, fell apart when handled. The spicy tuna had spoiled and I got to spend the rest of the afternoon regurgitating the poisonous sushi. Completely unacceptable in my opinion. That will be the last time the establishment will be getting my business.
Whoa! That sounds awful! I went in the day I posted this, and thought the fruits and veggies looked good and when I glanced in the back, they were actually slicing up fish for sushi.
However, as mentioned before, it doesn't look any better than the stuff you can get at Ralphs (really sub-par, imo). The only market I buy sushi at is Whole Foods.
just for balance, I had the opposite experience. Stopped in last week and, though a bit wary, tried the sushi, spicy tuna rolls specifically. I thought they were excellent and seemed way fresh.
produce prices seem fair to cheap. but really not enough to make this odd location a destination for me.
