Malibu Fire - Could Be Arson, Also Flea's House Burned

"Human activity" is what the LA Times is reporting is the cause of the fires. That's arson if it wasn't an accident.
The most destructive fire in Malibu in nearly 15 years raced through parched canyons Saturday, consuming 49 homes and forcing the evacuation of thousands of residents.According to the City of Malibu website this fire was just as bad as last month's for the beach community:The so-called Corral fire burned 4,700 acres before the fierce Santa Ana winds died down, allowing firefighters to make a stand. By evening, the blaze, which investigators said was started by "human activity," was 25% contained. Six firefighters sustained minor injuries, authorities said.

One of the homes belonged to Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. In a text message to a Times' reporter, the bassist said his home had "burnt to a crisp."

So we don't know if it's an accident or arson, yet in the headline you definitively say that it is Arson.
This is why blogs are not respected by the mainstream. This is the type of yellow journalism I would expect from Fox News.

I know exactly where this fire started and I have doubts it was arson.
The mesa peak mountainway is supposedly the origin point, and there is a cave up there that people go up to party at late at night (no cops, no neighbors, etc.).
I wouldn't be surprised if the fire was traced to that exact spot, but I doubt it was intentional. I would bet someone was careless tossing a cigarette or blunt or something, as the cave and mountainway are on the highest ridgeline. The winds up there must have been unreal that night — the perfect flashpoint for something like this.

Hmmmmm... one week flea (and bandmates) files frivolous lawsuit, the next his home goes up in flames. Karma?

The Californication album cover with the pool by the ocean on fire - maybe not karma, but super coincidence or irony.
