What I'm Thankful For

1. In N' Out
I've been training for the LA marathon for the past month and once a week, after a super hard run, I reward myself by ordering a #3 w/onions. Seriously, how could a "fast food" hamburger taste so good? And it's really not that bad for you. If you order a burger combo with a diet coke, you'll consume less than 550 calories. It's totes a win-win situation.
2. Bros
Because without them, who else would I make fun of? The tribal tats, the Famous Stars & Straps hats...really the possibilities are endless. Double points if you find one that has a truck that's necessitates a step ladder to get inside the vehicle. Triple points if you find one from the 909. You know the one thing the bros have done right? Dirt bike riding. Damn, that shit is fun.
3. Orange County
I never lived in the OC, but I went to high school in Fullerton so I'm very familiar with the area. Whenever I go back to visit my friends that still reside there I feel so SAFE. No doubt, I love Los Angeles, but whenever I'm out in the city I'm always thinking in the back of my head that I must be careful because someone might jack me or my shit. It's nice not have to worry about that once in awhile.
4. Forever 21
Oh, I love clothes...especially really expensive ones. But sometimes my checking account doesn't support a $500 purchase of a Marc Jacobs coat/dress/bag. So what do I do when I'm in a monetary bind and I have to look super cute for an evening of festivities? I head over to Forever 21 in Pasadena and buy three dresses, a clutch and a top for under $100. I could definitely spend a good 3 hours in there. Who am I joking? I HAVE spent three hours there. And then I walk out a happy customer.
5. Silver Lake/East side
There are so many great things within a 5 mile radius of my apartment that sometimes I have to sigh and thank God for allowing me to live here. On any given evening, I can head over to Cha Cha for a cheap drink, then if I feel like, drive to Short Stop to dance my ass off, and finally hit up Brite Spot for a some late night breakfast or a taco truck to ease the impending hang over. Let's not forget the endless amount of recreational activities, like walking around the reservoir, or taking your dog to the dog park. I love it here, but more than anything, I love the people here and couldn't imagine myself anywhere else.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving and you're surrounded by family, friends, and especially LOVE. This is the best holiday of the year.
Catch you guys on the flip side...or in traffic on Sunday evening.
Peace!
