LAst Night's Action: Anaheim Edges Los Angeles

The Ducks and Kings are becoming familiar faces.Ducks 4, Kings 3, SO - Southern California's teams are getting to know each other pretty well. After opening the season with two games in London, they now face each other in three of their next six games. Last night in Anaheim the Ducks showed signs of life, but blew a two goal lead in the third period. The eventually beat Los Angeles 2-0 in a shoot-out.

Spurs 107, Lakers 92 - The Lakers are back to .500 for the third time in as many chances. It may seem like an obscure statistic, but it still seems like an important one for this year's team. Kobe Bryant walked in averaging just over 30 points a game, but could only manage 18 against fierce defense from Bruce Bowen. The game was never really in question. Tony Parker led the way with 26, followed by Bowen with 23.

Beckham Blather - You remember Beckham, right? The guy who was supposed to change the direction of soccer in America? Apparently he's trying one-on-one promotions, starting with lessons for Snoop Dogg's kids. That's when he's not joining Tom Brady in the ranks of underwear model or trying to play in Europe again.

Elsewhere - The Green Bay Packers may be owned by their fans, but a British soccer team is taking it to a whole new level ... Soulja Boy is clearly an unstoppable force. Surrender now ... It's starting to look like last weekend's Oregon State - Washington football game may have been one of the most interesting of the year. It's not getting as much attention as it should because the teams aren't doing well, but check it out. The OSU QB leveled a 265 pound DE. The other QB was taken out motionless on a stretcher (they had to drive the ambulance on the field and delay the game 20 minutes), but returned to watch the game on the sideline. Then officials botched one of the worst calls of the year. Don't forget the fight that broke out. Nope, can't forget that. Afterwards, OSU's Athletic Director got mad at the Pac-10 Commissioner. This saga isn't even over yet.

Today's Action - Lakers @ Houston (6:00pm) ... Knicks @ Clippers (7:30pm).
