csharp, if you look at the comment thread, i was "a little nicer" yesterday and even gave a warning of what would come next if he continued to bring teh weak. what did he do? he tried to pretend that "San Antonio, El Paso, Tulsa, Oklahoma City..." and others compared to LA in this example. sorry baby but homie dont play that one. and neither should you.

Woah, Tony! I'm usually on your side against trolls and snarky commenters but this guy wasn't at all snarky and your response seems unnecessarily harsh. All he said was that other cities do televise them (I'm from Houston and I gotta say that when I moved here, everyone kept telling me there were all these chases on TV, but I've never felt that there were more here than there.) Be a little nicer to the commenters that *aren't* rude in the beginning and more of us will back you up when you go after the truly nasty ones.

There may be high-speed chases in other parts of the country, but LA's chases are different. We've seen everything from OJ's crawl to the guy blowing his brains out on the 105 overpass. It's perverse but it's where reality TV meets the old cops & robbers games we played growing up. LA's unique complex road system makes our freeway chases the most dynamic on TV... it's FAN-tastic!

Many = San Diego, Phoenix, Denver, Tucson, Vegas, St Louis, Kansas City, Dallas, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, El Paso, Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Atlanta, Miami etc etc etc and this is just in the u.s. (you said "world.") What in god's name would make you think this was a phenomenon exclusive to Los Angeles? A simple google news search will prove otherwise.
