My ten-mile commute that always takes 1 - 1 1/2 hours took an amazing 22 minutes this morning. *sigh*
Same goes for the traffic out in the IE. The hellish 60/215/91 interchange was a breeze! I wish it could be Veterans Day everyday!
My commute was more than halved time-wise and I was not 15 minutes late for work for the first time ever. Thanks, U.S. servicemen, women, and vets.
No schools? No government? Why wait for an apocalypse to bring about such changes? Let's abolish work too.
Let's not get carried away with the whole "no schools" bit. As always, USC takes as few days off from the academic year as humanly possible, and thus, we are still in session, and still burned out wishing and hoping and dreaming for some form of extended weekend between Labor Day and Thanksgiving.
So enjoy the day off, those of you that have it, and the rest of us I guess can enjoy the open roads.
I was right there with you and saw the same PCH sign. 1.5 hours turned into a lovely 30 minutes. Can't wait to go home tonight
I knew something was up when the 101 was going twice as fast as I was on Riverside. A welcome reprise from the usual Monday morning commute :)
