Oh stop it, torrmoz. Way to piss all over a nice gesture of good will and fellowship.Don't buy into the hype that all writers are rich and getting guild minimums every year. They weren't born into the guild, they struggled to get there. One of my friends who is now a writer actually worked in a supermarket before his writing career took off. Is that real enugh for you? Stop with the faux class struggle stuff. Most writers have secondary/day jobs in addition to writing. Grow up.

"Workers" that make on average $30,000-$50,000 an episode deserve free handouts. With the bush economy how can someone live on that meager amount of money.

Because if there's one profession that can't afford concerts tix its TV writers. What a cheap ploy for publicity by The Roxy. Let's hope The Roxy also extends this offer to striking sanitation and grocery store workers.
