Slash Signing Books All Over Town

Slash at Borders

With lines wrapping around the Borders bookstore in Torrance, yesterday Slash signed autographs and stoked fans of all ages excited and holding a copy of his new aptly titled book, "Slash".

Arriving at 7:45, I saw that if i wanted to get a signed copy of Slash's book, i was going to have to wait in a line to get into the line that zig-zagged through the bookstore. I am not that patient, and really i just wanted to get all paparazzi'd out in his face, and bone the hell out in time to catch the new episode of Heroes.

I kept getting shut down by Borders' security team, but lucked out when i teamed up with a pack of 15-year-old, camera-phone-toting boys who along side me snuck around the books on tape aisle and rushed the front of his table.

We were promptly shoo'd away once security realized there was a breech, but Slash was cool about it, and seems like I should have taken the time to wait in line. Too bad i didn't check my email earlier, but that's my fault. But me and my team left satisfied that we got what we had come for.

So this is your chance, suckers. Head to the Whiskey A Go Go tomorrow at 6pm, and meet Slash.
