I do agree that Lauren uses a myriad of materials, however she is also trying to emphasize the point of American usage through visual symbolism, and that will take a lot of waste in order to represent waste in its general meaning. I appreciated the piece of land she took out in order to speak out for those who lost their community gardens in 2006. Go, Lauren.

this has very little to do with bon: that ace gallery guy--the bald, older fella--lost his temper. he was yelling at people for going in the corn while another gallery employee said it was okay to be in the corn. there was a misunderstanding.

very american in that it wastes a lot of food--room full of corn kernels, honey-library. you'll never see such a thing in a place that would appreciate those things and put them to far better uses. this show is an exercise. not controversial, not profound, & hardly cogent.
