LAst Night's Action: Ducks Face Plant Again
Coyotes 1, Ducks 0 - The Duck's road problems have come home to roost. They were held scoreless against lowly Phoenix in Anaheim last night and couldn't convert on six power plays. Four players -- Ryan Getzlaf, Rob Niedermayer, Mathieu Schneider and Todd Bertuzzi -- missed the game due to injury.
Kings 2, Stars 1 - Los Angeles finally snapped a nine game losing streak to Dallas. It also marked the first time in two seasons that the Kings cobbled together a three game winning streak. Alexander Frolov scored in each of those games.
Elsewhere - The Red Sox lead the World Series 2-0. Wouldn't you love to see Beckett start every game? ... Sports Illustrated has LA #8 on their slumping cities list ... The Chargers still don't know what to expect on Sunday due to the wildfires ... The Jacksonville Jaguars signed a high school coach to play quarterback.
Today's Action - Kings @ Lakers (7:00pm) in Vegas. The final preseason game will be sans Kobe (minor wrist sprain) ... Golden State @ Clippers (7:30pm).
