LAist CD Giveaway

This week has been a major downer. Seeing all of the suffering that people around us are going through as a result of these fires has been so disheartening, but at the same time, watching the displays of heroism of those fighting the fires and the resilience of those that refuse to be defeated by circumstance has helped restore our hope.

In an effort to give you something to smile about, we’ve managed to get our hands on a few CDs compiled by Universal Music that we don’t know what to do with. Entitled #1’s, these albums are collections of chart-topping hits for some of the top artists in music history, as well as notable songs across genres like country, jazz, and disco. Rather than letting them waste away in our mysterious LAist back office, we’re giving them to you.

Given the devastation that is occurring, we certainly don’t want to gloss over the kind of impact that these fires are having. Thus, to enter this contest, we’d like you to submit to us in a comment a link to a photo of the fires that you found most striking, whether it’s a picture of the fires, or some of the aftermath. Please link to a single photo and not just a gallery of photos on a news website. We’ll select winners based on the responses. Entries must be received by Sunday at 5 pm.
