All I can think of (aside from staying out of the way of emergency services) is maybe stopping by one of the Red Cross shelters for fire victims. Any news or thoughts on how to help/volunteer? The fire department has been working so hard... Anything residents can do to pitch in and help? Without getting in the way?

Anyone looking for live updated, I second the KNX1070 recommendation. They are providing more in terms of both quantity and quality of up to date reporting on all of the fires compared with any of the local TV around LA.
