TV Junkie: Weekend Edition

From Here to EternityHope you caught the season finale of Mad Men - it was excellent, especially the final pitch to Kodak (the finale will repeat tonight at 10:00pm on AMC). Am still bummed over the death of Deborah Kerr, of the King and I and From Here to Eternity fame (yeah, that was her rolling around in the surf with Burt Lancaster), she will be very much missed. We also lost the last remaining member of the Rat Pack (not the Brat Pack as I previously wrote), comedian Joey Bishop.

ALL DAY Horror Movies TCM - Yup, classic and weird horror movies all day on Turner Classic Movies, including: Die! Die! My Darling!, Freaks, The Devil Doll, and London After Midnight. TV Junkie Pick-O-the-Night.

8:00pm The Next Great American Band FOX - Series Premiere. Sneak previews have shown that there might not be many "bad audtions" for viewers to watch, which might be a mistake since that's about 1/2 the reason to watch American Idol.

9:00pm Enter the Dragon IFC - Bruce Lee!

10:00pm Las Vegas NBC - Somebody wrote a message to me stating that this was the best drama on TV. They must be smoking the best weed in LA (read a post from Anti).

10:00pm Mad Men AMC - Season Finale (repeat). If you missed it last night, here's another chance.

11:30pm The Late Show With David Letterman CBS - Amanda Peet, Patrick Warburton, Jeff Caldwell

12:35am Late Night With Conan O'Brien NBC - Josh Hartnett, Jack McBrayer, (Chemical) Brother Ali

Saturday

8:00am Damages Marathon FX - In preparation for Tuesday's finale showing 12 hours of season one of Damages.

9:45pm Hurricane Streets IFC - Check out LAist's interview with Director Morgan Freeman.

No, the "Brat Pack" was: Emilio Estevez, Anthony Michael Hall, Rob Lowe, Andrew McCarthy, Demi Moore, Judd Nelson, Molly Ringwald and Ally Sheedy.

You're thinking of the Rat Pack, which consisted primarily of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis, Jr., Peter Lawford, and Joey Bishop.

thanks Colinski, my misnomer - it's been a long week, have a great weekend. If only all the Brat Packers would die suddenly.
