Elise - the meat photo was the result of persistance, and the guys working that night being in a good mood. They let us into the kitchen to snap the photo. (Maybe that B rating should be reevaluated!

all of the La Estrellas are good, but i think the best one is the truck on York & 54. I'm at York/50 and that truck is dangerously close to my house... i have to say, the al pastor is one of the most amazing things ive ever had. the carnitas and carne asada are great too, and the cabeza isnt bad. my bf swears by the carnitas burritos.. now i'm craving it!!

How did you get so close to the meat for that photo??? I also choose my restaurants by my ability to look upon others with scorn. Like the people in the Burger King next-door to The Wheel Inn in Cabazon.

Use to live a couple blocks away and went at least twice a week. Their fish burrito is amazing. Also anything al pastor.

OMG! I'm so psyched to see a review of this place. Before I moved from Mt. Washington last year I practically lived off the food from this La Estrella (I'll still cruise down the 110 from downtown a couple times a month). The asada is the best around and the fish tacos are outtacontrol. For a real drunken feast try the nachos estrella. I'm completely salivating right now...
