Photo Essay: Forest Lawn

Forest Lawn in the Hollywood Hills has a variety of gardens, stained glass and art exhibits that attract a lot of attention. However, the Court of Liberty and the Birth of Liberty Mosaic don't hold much interest for me as a photographer. I am touched by the juxtoposition of beauty and sorrow in the marble statuary. I find peace in the serene faces, and I marvel at the way people are always able to find hope in the darkness.
