Paul Pope Prints at Diesel

A preview of the Paul Pope poster for Diesel

Starting this Thursday, October 18th, the Diesel store on Melrose (map) will be displaying 12 huge, 20 x 35 inch, silkscreened prints by the amazing illustrator, Paul Pope. Paul Pope has been wowing comic book and non-comic book lovers alike since 1995, when he released his first graphic novel, THB. Since then he's completed 4 others, as well as the mini-series Batman: Year 100, which was well received by the mainstream press. His style is a mixture of manga, better known as Japanese comic books, and fine European illustrators. He often uses think, inky brush strokes in his work, as well as super fine lines allowing you to catch minute details.

The prints are being created for Diesel's big fashion week event for the fall season, and will be on display for around a month. There will also be smaller prints available at the store for anyone who purchases one of the new Diesel Time Frames (fancy words for watches). He'll also have copies of book, Pulphope: The Art of Paul Pope available for sale, which I own, and I highly suggest you buy if you're a fan of his work.
