This Weekend in Theatre: Gen Xers, Abuse and Angst

Sorry for the lateness of this column...computer problems just bite. Anyway, this week's theater picks are filled with abuse, angst and comedy -- but not necessarily in the same show:

Lost Angeles
Ten Gen Xers – including a scientist who’s gotten himself a date with a beautiful woman whom he had been stalking and a woman who’s scored a MySpace date with “the world’s hottest lesbian” – are trying to find their way in the real world. (Yes, it’s been done before, but unless you check it out yourself you’ll never know if it’s been done well.)

Little Secrets
It’s 1962 in a Florida college dormitory. Jarrett is a pathological liar who’s focused on dominating his new roommate with psychological games of power and sexual blackmail. His too trusting roommate Don is beginning to lose his sanity under Jarrett’s power play. Will he be saved from the brink?

Mustang Sally
This drama focuses on female teachers who have sex with their underage students. As this play begins, 31-year-old Kathy’s affair with a 13-year-old student has been uncovered. Kathy’s older sister steps forward to help her deal with the repercussions.
