I love Mao's! In fact, Josh, you scooped me on the review (still heart you). I used to live 100' away too, on Mildred, and it might not be worth the trip from across town, but having it right there was awesome. And the people are nice and it's a block from the beach and made me happy.

Holy shitballs. I worked there for 2 solid years. I have not eaten there since I quit, nor will I ever again (someone ended up in the hospital from the eggs while I worked there - apparently they didn't refrigerate them). Also, while I worked there the quality steadily went downhill, and from what people tell me it's nowhere near as good as it once was... You guys on the westside just have slim pickings when it comes to (good) chinese food.

Mao's is about 100' from my spot. No alcohol served, but you can BYO sans corkage fee!
