LAst Night's Action: Cup Comes Home To Roost

One happy owner.Ducks 2, Bruins 1 - After managing just one win in five road games to start the season, the defending Stanley Cup Champions returned home on Wednesday to take care of some business. Boston led from the first minute until a third-period comeback, when the Anaheim looked a little more like their championship form.

Dallas 5, Kings 1 - This was familiar. Dallas swept the season series 8-0 last year, and maintained their form into this year. At least Patrick O'Sullivan was back in the lineup. He took a puck to the mouth on Saturday, loosing three teeth and breaking a bone below his nose. But, hey, he only needed six stitches.

Blazers 111, Clippers 102 - Good thing it doesn't matter. Los Angeles has dropped two in a row to start the preseason. Sam Cassell drained 16 in the first quarter on the way to a team-hight 21. Greg Oden was in attendance, but could only watch -- just like the NBA's top draft pick will do all season due to a knee surgery.

Elsewhere - You still have time to sign up for this year's World Series of Beer Pong ... If you want a 30 second ad during the Super Bowl, it's still under $3 million ... "The Gipper" was exhumed for testing. Still dead ... Packers season ticket wait list is 37 years ... Yankee's broadcaster cries on air ... Former Mexican Presidential candidate cheats at marathon ... Cubs fans take action against the curse of the goat ... Ten really sweet sports pictures.

Today's Action - Chivas USA @ FC Dallas (6:00pm) ... Golden State @ Lakers (10:00pm).
