If you've driven anywhere around LA in the past month or so, I'm sure if you've seen the creepy red and black zombie looking posters on billboards and wheat pasted all over walls. These ads are for the upcoming thriller, 30 Days of Nights, a movie about a small Alaskan town that experience an entire month without sunlight, which is then attacked by vampires who take advantage of the situation.

The movie is actually based on a comic book by the same name, which was written by Steve Niles and Illustrated by Ben Templesmith, an Australian artist who also happens to be having his first US art show at LA's finest comic book shop, Secret Headquarters this Friday. The show is from 8 till 11pm (possibly longer), and features Templesmith's original art, which will be hanging side by side with the final images, giving you a peak at all the crazy work he does in photoshop to get his images to look like like they do.

There's also going to be original art for sale, as well as photos from the set of the movie shot by the director, David Slade. And if that wasn't enough there will even be free adult beverages! Woo hoo! Be sure to check it out if you're a comic nerd or you're excited to see the movie!

The movie comes out on October 19th.
Check out under the links for more previews of his artwork from the show!
