Last night I was in Secret Headquarters browsing the crop of new comic books, when a gem of a cover caught my eye. I walked over to the little table that sits between the two leather chairs wear the non-geeks sit, waiting for their geeky counterpart to finish nerding off on the newest issue of Batman. I picked it up and realized it wasn't a comic book at all, but the new season program for the Steve Allen Theater.

What really caught my eye was the cover though, which was drawn by the awesome Travis Millard. For those who aren't familiar with his work, Millard is an early thirty-something Kansas City native who now currently resides here in Los Angeles. Right now he works under his own Fudge Factory Comics, as well as doing a lot of work doing illustration and graphics work with Volcom.
I'm slightly obsessed and amazed by his artwork. I love all the tiny lines and details he puts into his work. And I love that he draws a lot of people fighting.

As for the Steve Allen Theater, I don't really know much about it, but Millard's art is also all over their website. Under the cut I've posted two more of the images from inside the program that he did as well. One is for The Tomorrow Show, which features that Brendon Small guy who used to Home Movies, and now works on the crazy Metaloclypse for Adult Swim. The other is a mini-comic Millard did which I think is about a guy who gets trapped in an elevator, goes crazy, and has some weird hippy hallucinations.
