Let's Get Ready to Rumble

Boxing has been a joke for the past few years. Gone are the golden days of boxing, when pay-per-view events were must watch affairs and part of everyone's consciousness. With Iron Mike going back to jail, and the Golden Boy dressing up fishnets, boxing has entered it's darkest days.

One of the few bright spots for the sport has been Super Featherweight champion, Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao. If you haven't seen "Pacman" fight before, you're in for a treat. This whirling dervish is considered to be one of the most exciting boxers in the world. His fights sell out and his Pay-Per-View ratings make him the #1 draw in the sport today. Pacquiao was the man in the middle between the Bob Arum and Oscar De La Hoya tiff that was recently mended, when Arum returned Oscar's 1992 Olympic gold medal.

This Saturday Manny Pacquiao will be facing an aging Marco Antonio Barrera, reliving the epic fight, won by Pacquiao, in 2003. Although this will be Barrera's last fight before his eventual retirement, and Pacman is barely reaching his prime, this fight is sure to draw huge contingents of Mexicans and Filipinos fight fans at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.
