The other day I was driving through Silver Lake when I spotted the crazy painted truck you see above. Immediately, I pulled over, grabbed my camera, and started taking pictures. You don't normally see a ton of brightly colored eyeballs all over a primer black truck! Not only were there eyes, but there were also short, inspirational phrases such as the one's you see above. Going through and photographing them I couldn't help but smile. My absolute favorite one was the phrase, "You never die, you simply change form". I've always been the kid who doesn't want to go to heaven, I want to be reincarnated as something, even if it's something lame like a slug.

It turns out the truck was painted by a guy simply known as Chase. Chase is an artist/designer who is originally from Belgium, but moved to LA when he was 17. Since then he's been painting murals all over the Los Angeles area and has even started his own line of t-shirts called 614. Looking at this site he really tries to pore a lot a of positivity into his artwork, sort of taking a twist on most 'street art' by making it something that someone could smile about.
