Win Tickets to See The Crystal Method at the Roxy

You’ve heard their tracks on the Blade movies, Zoolander, and Romeo Must Die. You know their work from the theme song to Bones. You’ve gamed to their music on Dance Dance Revolution and Gran Turismo 4. You’ve even listened to their radio show on Indie 103.1 (on Community Service on Friday nights 10 pm-midnight). But most notably, if you’re any kind of electronica fan, you’ve ardently followed their music for a decade since the release of “Vegas.”

Now you can see Ken Jordan and Scott Kirkland, better known as The Crystal Method, DJing live at a BPM-sponsored party next Tuesday night at the Roxy. The pair is celebrating the ten-year anniversary of “Vegas” and the release of a deluxe edition of “Vegas” which features a remastered version of the original album plus a disc of original remixes.

LAist has a pair of tickets to give away to watch these legends of big beat perform their electronic mastery. For this contest, in honor of “Vegas,” leave a comment telling us what your favorite place to stay is in Vegas (and any other crazy associated stories if you feel so inclined). Remember you have to be a registered commentor to win. Entries must be received by Saturday at 11 pm.

My favorite place to stay in Vegas is the Imperial Palace. If you go to the Emperor's lounge, you can get double shots for $4.00. That's by far the best value for the drink in Vegas. I know that's not a crazy story, but it's the most valuable comment you'll find in this post.

Plus, I love Crystal Method!!!

I used to work for an outfit that did 90% of all the Travel Channel shows on Vegas. My favorite place to stay in Lost Wages has to be just outside of it, at Red Rock... Sure, it's off strip, but the rooms are drop dead goh-juss and since it's one of the newer hotels it's relatively clean, the filtering technology whisks away all the nasty ciggie smells, and it's close to Red Rock Canyon cuz sometimes you need to get away from it all when you're getting away from it all. They've even got the Lucky Crystal lounge in the middle of the Casino, if you ever feel like you want to do some crystal therapy and drink an apple martini at the same time, that's the place to go. Finally the views are awesome... you either get a great view of the Red Rock park or you get the greatest view of the Strip.

My favorite place to stay in Vegas is at the Luxor. That's when I won $30 at the slot machines!! Viva Las Vegas!!!!!!!

The Rio used to be the best place to stay before it expanded because there were never any kids there. Since they built that parade in the sky thing more riff-raff wanders in. If you go there make sure to request a room in the old tower because they are bigger (they call them suites even though they are only one room). You can get 2 king beds and a huge wrap around couch which could easily fit 6+ people. Also, you don't have to walk through the parade in the sky area to get to your room if you stay in the old tower. The rates were always good but I used to have one of their club cards so I may have been getting deals. They also have 2 insane buffets (one is all seafood). That being said, I haven't stayed there in years.

Favorite place to stay: Bellagio
Best luck at: Paris
Favorite place to eat: Le Café Île St. Louis in Paris (the french toast is divine!)
Hotel I'll never stay at again: Imperial Palace (sorry, jamesey, gotta seriously disagree with you, at least on the quality of the rooms)
Most anticipated Vegas trip: This year's Vegoose at the end of October

Circus Circus in the 80s

Stay in Vegas? Are you kidding me?

The best is the 24 hour trip to Vegas. Leave LA at 1:00 PM and arrive at 5:00 PM and immediately start drinking. Have a tasty dinner at one of the many fine eateries. Next go drink and gamble some more. By 1:00 AM, you're either doing great at the tables (still drinking), or you should head to a club and rage (drinking some more of course) until the wee hours of the morning. Around 6:30 AM you need to start finding a place for breakfast and attempt to sober up before your ride home which you start at 9:00 AM. You’ll be back to LA by 1:00 PM. If you're lucky you'll have a designated driver so you can pass out for the ride.

PS Huge Crystal Method fan.

the best place to stay at is my grandmas condo. im telling you, grandmas and grandpas have it laid out. mine takes at least 2 trips to vegas each month.

so i get the girls together and drive ourselves out there. 5 hrs and we're ready to party it up. the last trip we took down there was for the Justice afterparty, you dont wanna know who ended up at grandmas....you wont believe it.

Circus Circus!

Kidding.....well, maybe a little.

Gonna have to say Hard Rock Casino. Off the strip, fairly large beds and rooms, quite nice. Few kids, and the crowd doesn't skew too old :)

The Flamingo

True, it's not the Wynn, but it's not the stratosphere either. Great pool, decent food options, close to everything and their casino gives me money (most of the time).

And if you say it right it sounds like "Flaming Go" (Shit Yeaaaah)

Um, I am yes pleased to try find win the Method of Crystal tickets yes?

WORSE place to stay is in the "ghetto" wing of the Stratasphere Hotel. When I say "ghetto" I mean the 2AM people yelling and fighting in the hallway and room next door to you fighting and hotel security taking 20 minutes to meander their way to the action.

I stay at my brothers house cause its way more comfy then any hotel room.

i've only ever stayed at the MGM Grand. no particular reason, they have a lion. i just learned their opening the new location in my hometown of detroit next week. $800 million development in the downtown. craziness, i'll have to see it next visit.

Can't win. Can't go. Of all times to actually be in Vegas. Talk about crazy!!!

Best place to stay was on a professional gambler's sofa (thanks, work.. for being so cheap you couldn't even hook us up with rooms) while he and three buddies played poker till noon the next day and microwaved unbelievably stinky hot pockets the whole time.

Honestly, was a great place to stay because said gambler took us on a crazy tour through the casinos and the then unfinished Wynn.

I love Crystal Method. I wanna win!!

Bally's. I value it for its consistency...

The Golden Nugget in downtown Vegas rocks.
Fave place on the strip is Wynn because they don't mess around with their gambling or their accomodations.
Let the party start this weekend with Chem Bros and continue on through to tues with the Crystal Meth!!

My favorite place to stay in Vegas is the LUXOR. But take that with a grain of salt because I enjoy any place that's in walking distance of a strip club.
