Eddie Van Halen still sorta is the greatest guitarist alive. And maybe you don't like your rock gods to be a little looney and close to death, but we do. And if we learned one thing about David Lee Roth it's that he aint no morning man, which is fine. What he is is the only front man that Van Halen should have ever had, and we're glad that all the nonsense was able to get pushed aside for this tour.

Meanwhile we are also intrigued by Eddie's son Wolfgang who couldn't be the worst choice for bass right now... for many reasons. He's a kid, his dad is crazy, David Lee Roth is crazy, his dad and David Lee Roth haven't toured together in over 20 years, he's trying to fill the shoes of the only other guy who's ever played bass in Van Halen, even Eddie Van Halen wasn't Eddie Van Halen when he was 15, even if he's great what kid wants to be known as the freak show in his dad's classic rock band?

Even though Van Halen's return to LA on 11/20 falls on the Tuesday, count on this show selling out within minutes, so be ready today at 10am. They will also be playing at the Honda Center on 12/18. Those tix go on sale tomorrow at 10am also.
