... don't feel too bad about waiting so long to get to the Bowl this season... With only a couple of exceptions, this year's line-up has been a tad, let's say, "Yawn".

I went to the show on Sunday too. It was my first time seeing Pink Martini live and they did not disappoint. And yes, Carol Channing brought down the house. The energy from the audience was incredible.

I saw the Sunday show, and it was probably the best show I've seen at the Hollywood Bowl, in the 20 years I've been going there..

Nice review. Amazing night. And cool that you at least were allowed to take pix up to a point. I was there the same night as you and took pix from our terrace seats too (maybe we were box neighbors?) but didn't use any with my brief recap of the night on Blogging.la because they mostly sucked and because the Bowl PR folks made it loud and clear ahead of time that only their authorized pix could be used. -Will Campbell
