Get the new Foo Fighters cd, See them Live for Free

This story is free to read because readers choose to support LAist. If you find value in independent local reporting, make a donation to power our newsroom today.

First let's begin by saying that there is nothing more evil and vile and disgusting than Ticketmaster and their ability to run a monopoly over all these years and it pains us to link to their wretched site as it would be very similar to linking to the devil himself, Dick Cheney.

However, there is a concert coming up that many of you would enjoy seeing and there's no other way to go than to give Ticketmaster some money, so here we are swallowing our pride.

The Foo Fighters, one of the best live bands around, handsome men who play hard and wild, will be storming into town next week to rip the Henry Fonda a new one in support of their new cd, Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace.

And here's where it gets good. Somehow the Foos have worked out a deal where anyone who buys their cd starting tomorrow at 10am thru this Ticketmassah link gets a free ticket to their club date at the Music Box on Sept. 24th.

TM's charge for the cd is $20 (Lord knows what sort of "convenience fee" they'll slap on that puppy) which is the nice price. Even if somehow you're paying $35 out the door, it's still cheaper - and better - than the price it would cost to see them play at any of the amphitheatres that they normally sell out.

So if you're into Dave Grohl and his Foo Fighters and you wanna see them play, and if you were gonna get their cd anyhow, this might be the way for you to go. Keep in mind that each cd only allows 1 person to get in, and there's a 2 cd max. So click wisely tomorrow at 10am because when the cds/tickets are sold out, thats it.
