Watch Diddy's 'Sex Video' Ad -- Too Steamy for MTV?

NSFW as far as the video contains Hennessy and lingerie.

Sean John's new Unforgivable Woman must be some stanky-ass perfume if MTV is really rejecting these ads. I mean, Mr. Combs remains fully dressed while striking multiple elevator-humping poses with Australian hottie Jessica Gomes. Above is the 3-minute long-player (the rejects were reportedly 30- and 60-second spots).

Surely there's nothing a Britney or L.Lo couldn't get away with on eMpTV these days. Is Puffy just manufacturing hype out of thin air? MTV has no comment. And the primary source on the MTV neg is the New York Post (Page Six, no less) part of News Corp. which also owns MySpace which will host/simulcast Diddy's star-studded launch party for the fragrance tomorrow night. Will Isaac Mizrahi be there?

The only difference between this ad and other ads (and content shown on MTV for that matter) is that in P. Diddy's ad, it's the woman's pleasure that is the primary focus, not the man's; he's worshipping and pleasing her, not the other way around. (Of course, this makes sense, since the fragrance being sold is for women, and women are responsible for the majority of all fragrance purchases.) Just like P. Diddy's ad, there's plenty of groping, derobing, lingerie, and wink-wink suggestions of oral sex being performed on men on MTV (just check out their videos), but it seems MTV is OK with a sexy man/woman situation so long as it's clear it's the woman pleasing the man -- and not the other way around.

I should have proofread before I posted comment #2. The last part should have read: "Just like P. Diddy's ad, there's plenty of groping, derobing, lingerie, and wink-wink suggestions of oral sex on MTV (just check out their videos), but it seems MTV is OK with broadcasting a sexy man/woman situation so long as it's the *woman* pleasing the man -- and not the other way around. It's only acceptable if images suggest that she -- and not the man -- is performing oral sex.

Yawn. Uninspired, tedious, and unfocused. I would reject it just for sucking so much.

Yeah, this is just kinda boring. I'm sure if it was 30 seconds long, it would be MUCH better.
