Henry ... #6 here. Yeah, I've been watching the Cubs, and to say they're awesome for not losing as quite often as the Brewers or the Cardinals isn't saying much. They might ... might ... manage to take the top spot in the worst division in baseball, depending on who happens to luck out in the last week. And even then, if they somehow do manage to make it to October, they'll be slaughtered by almost anyone they're likely to meet. They don't have a prayer against the Mets, for instance, and anybody in the West could take them ... including the Dodgers, I'm afraid. The Cubs are much improved, and I expect them to be even better next year, but their momentary flirtation with decency is hardly worth having Mr. Bramlett abandon his Dodgers. If he feels like going all fair-weather, better he go with the Diamondbacks or San Diego. That's who we're going see lose to the Red Sox in the series.

Guest #6, the Cubs have been awesome this season... have you been watching? And I was so happy 2 weeks ago when I heard the news that Grady had signed Tomko away...that I immediately went to the fridge and pounded 2 beers. Tomko sucks balls. If any one player cost us the season it was him.

Okay, Mr. Bramlett, let me get this straight. You're tired of the Dodgers losing all the time, so you're thinking of going with the CUBS?!? Are we talking the same Cubs, here, the 1908 World Champion Cubs? See the flaw in your plan, here?

Just remember. All of that spent money this season went to paying such remarkable players like Esteban Loaiza, Mark Hendrickson and Brett Tomko.

yeah....I'm the same. It's like a script I keep repeating every season. I bitch about all the time i've wasted going to games and watching on tv, and they fall apart at the end of the season. I guess i should find comfort in that somewhere??

I was just thinking about it. I went just over 20 games this season. With the money I spent, I could have bought one of those pairs of pants. Henry, you're right. As much as I want to disown them, I can't. If they somehow make it to the postseason, I'll be there cheering them on. And solracg, I really wish I could jump ship and root for another team. I've been on the verge of going to the Cubs bandwagon. But each time I'm about to do so, the Dodger fan in me pulls back. I can't do it. I think I have a condition.

Ditto to solracg. And you're right Jimmy for calling it over already. But I'm so hardcore I'd love to see the Dodgers make it to the NLDS only to get swept any day. Hope is what being a Dodger fan is all about, that's all we've got!

again grady little kills me.....it was obvious to everyone in the whole stadium that Loaiza didn't have anything last night. but it takes 6 runs for Grady to Pull him....against Jake Peavy?? Screw these guys...I wish i could jump ship and start rooting for Milwaukee but they kind of suck too.
