Are you crazy? The Top Chef got her as host and now it's Bravo's runaway hit. I think she has a wonderful warm personality. I would imagine she is identical on TV and in real life conversations.

She was hit by a car when she was 14. Hence the scar. And yeah, she totally seems stoned all the time. I can't believe I've watched this show religiously for so long. I hate cooking and I hate whiny chefs who backstab each other. But I love this show so bad.

Josh, I think somewhere on the Bravo TV site she explained that the scar was from a car accident when she was younger.

Any idea why she has the gigantic scar on her arm? I kinda like it but it's deeply un-television.

Beautiful and bland is the new (old) trend...plus if you read the blogs, Padma is allegedly stoned out of her gourd much of the time, hence the placid smile...

have you seen the original host of top chef, katie lee joel? padma was a HUGE step up.
